Home to one of the great Los Angeles Area Marinas, Marina Del Rey is a smaller unincorporated community that is a major Boating and Water Recreational area. Marina Del Rey resides south of Washington Blvd., East of the Pacific, North of Ballona Creek and the eastern border meanders towards the 405 freeway and comes to a point. There are many schools in Marina Del Rey; Short Avenue Elementary School, Stoner Avenue Elementary, Braddock Drive Elementary, Marina Del Rey Middle School and Venice High School services Marina Del Rey but it is located in Venice. There are a handful of parks in Marina Del Rey; Burton Chace Park, Glen Alla Park, Culver West Alexander Park and Yvonne B. Burke Park. Marina Del Rey has quick access to the 90 Freeway, also known as The Marina Freeway which connects to the 405 Freeway in Culver City. Marina Del Rey has a fair amount of Condominiums and apartment buildings but there is a majority of Single-Family homes throughout the city.
