This is the most North-East section of Torrance, bordering Carson to the east and Gardena to the north. The County Strip lies south of 190th Street, east of Normandie Avenue, North of Sepulveda and west of 110 Freeway. The northern quarter of this section is Industrial and Commercial while the remainder is residential with a strip mall in the middle. Located in the lower middle area of this section off of Carson Street is the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. One of the gems of this area is the Alpine Village, there is almost always something fun going on here from Octoberfest to swap meets. There are two public schools located in this section, Meyler Street Elementary School and Van Deene Avenue Elementary School. This is also one of the few areas with the famous In n’ Out located at Carson Street and the 110 freeway.
