The northern border of this area is Ballona Creek, the western border is Dockweiler State Beach, the southern border at West Grand Avenue and finally the eastern border. Pershing Drive is the main east border but once it gets close to Westchester Parkway it cuts right and through the neighborhood east of Westchester Enriched Sciences Magnets School. The few schools that service Playa Del Rey are Westchester Enriched Sciences Magnets, St. Bernard High School., Paseo De Rey Elementary and Ocean Charter Middle School. This is the southernmost section of Silicon Beach, still this community and close proximity to the ocean and small spots to eat and drink make this section unique and sought after.
